The word "Māra" comes from the Proto-Indo-European root -mer -to die. Mara also means: ghost, delirium, premonition, demon, dream.

The project consists of two parts.

In the first part there was a sculpture exhibition without sculptures — in the space, only a photograph of the alleged objects was provided. This photo was made the day before opening in the same hall, as if they are to be exhibited there.

It was a reflection about the image's origin, its place in the work, the way and possibility of its changing according to the changing of medium.

Mara’s second part  continues to research the process of image working and duplicates the sculptures, presenting them in the same order as in the photo from the first part of Mara.

The sculptures themselves were created intentionally for this project, but despite of this fact they are also can be considered as individual pieces of art.
